As an affiliated organization of the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM), CISM members have access to discounted ISM member rates on exam study materials and registration fees for the two professional credential programs offered by ISM. The Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) program is internationally recognized and focuses on the managerial, administrative and strategic — as well as tactical — aspects of the purchasing and materials management function. The new Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation is offered for the first time in 2008. It will be relevant internationally, and reflect the expanded education, skills and experience needed for supply managers to be successful in an increasingly globalized world.
